Itinerary
Day 1
Knowing wildlife of Iquitos
Tour start time: 9:00 am or 10:00 am Choose the time that suits you best!
- Very early departure, from our jetty.
- Then we will navigate along the Itaya River until we reach the crossing with the Amazon River
- We will cross the Amazon River to the opposite bank to visit a farm specialized in the breeding of lizards, paiches, piranhas, royal victory, turtles and macaws.
- On the return, we will visit the Amazon viewpoint that is located within the community of new independence on the banks of the Amazon River.
- We will walk 15 jungle to the inside (or you can take a motocar for 6 soles each way) to look for the giant tree, home of the mythical Chillachaqui, protective demon of the Amazon.
- Returning we will visit a serpentarium where we can see the anaconda and also other occasional animals such as lizards, sloth bear, tigrillo, monkeys and turtles.
- Later we will cross the Amazon River again to enter the Itaya River and return to the Iquitos boulevard jetty where we will conclude the tour.
