Sillustani chullpas tour from Puno
In general, democracy is good. The only downside is that when a result comes out that you don't like, you have to put up with it and accept what the majority voted for. Both the Peruvian girls and the Japanese backpackers had had enough of visiting the island of Amantaní. It was funny for us to visit Taquile, but if we returned to Puno in the morning, we had time to go to Sillustani in the afternoon, so, after a brief deliberation, we decided to vote to return to Puno.
The easiest way to access Sillustani from Puno is with one of the excursions that can be hired at any of the tourism agencies on Lima Street. The excursion begins at two in the afternoon and you are usually back in Puno around six.
If you like the stories of aliens, mysteries of Íker Jiménez and others, Sillustani is a point that you cannot skip on your trip to Peru. If this is not the case, the funerary chullpas that stand in that place are worth visiting because of their curious construction, which has a mystical air, and because of the breathtaking landscape, just like in the terraces of Moray.

The construction of the chullpas is very curious. It is amazing how they managed to make totally cylindrical towers using such large rocks.
